“OZPCS-RS40” Power Conversion System Now ETL Listed to UL 1741SB Standards

Oztek (now a part of Trystar) is excited to announce that we have received the authorization to mark our Model OZPCS-RS40 Rack Scale™ power conversion system (PCS) as being ETL Listed to UL 1741SB standards.  The UL 1741SB listing (known as “Supplement B”) includes a testing process which verifies that the PCS is able to perform smart-inverter functions, therefore making it much more resilient in the face of dynamic power grid conditions.   Additionally, the “OZPCS-RS40” is listed to the CSA C22.2 No. 107.1 standard as power conversion equipment, and is SunSpec Modbus Certified.

(The SunSpec Certified™ mark represents an ecosystem of SunSpec tested and approved products.   SunSpec Alliance certifies Distributed Energy Resources system components and software applications for compliance with official and de facto communication standards.)

The 40kW  “OZPCS-RS40” is a rack-mounted, four-quadrant, bi-directional, three phase PCS specifically designed for grid-tied and microgrid energy storage applications.   The transformerless design and 2.5U rack-mounted form factor allow for easy paralleling, enabling flexible and sophisticated energy storage systems architectures.   The system has been integrated into numerous grid-tied and microgrid energy storage systems across the country, and has a strong track record of high quality, performance, and dependability.

As we continue to grow as part of Trystar, we’ve witnessed an increase in the demand for smart-inverter connectivity, as well as scalable, reliable products in the energy storage market.   From our customers’ overwhelmingly positive response, we know that having our “OZPCS-RS40” meet the new UL 1741SB standard represents the future of energy storage.   Having the “Supplement B” certification demonstrates our commitment to keeping up with the evolving smart-inverter grid requirements.   This is a major step for Trystar as we continue to move forward in the energy storage market.
